Time for a quite rare post, as it is both in english as well as regarding music (which was one of the reasons I created Eargasm to begin with).

Them Crooked Vultures is a supergroup consisting of Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters, Nirvana) on drums, John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin) on bass and Josh Homme (Queens Of The Stoneage, Kyuss, Eagles Of Death Metal) on guitar. Meaning, anyone with half a brain and some understanding of the music world understands how big this is. I’m really looking forward to what they’re going to sound like, but I cannot see how it could possibly fail.

Dave Grohl first mentioned the possibility of such a collaboration in 2005;

The next project that I’m trying to initiate involves me on drums, Josh Homme on guitar, and John Paul Jones playing bass. That’s the next album. That wouldn’t suck.

It seems like this project is finally becoming a reality, as they are scheduled to make their public debut in a post-Lollapalooza gig on Sunday August 9 at Chicago’s Metro.

It’s going to be a good one!
